Filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK announced the postponement of the second season of their popular Amazon Prime series, The Family Man. The second season of the series, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, and Samantha Akkineni, will be released in the summer of 2021.

The filmmakers took to social media on Friday and wrote, ''We know you have been eagerly waiting for the new season of The Family Man. We are truly grateful and humbled by all the love! We have an update for you. The Family Man Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime this summer (sic)."

The series was initially scheduled to be released on 12 February. However, with the controversy that erupted over other Amazon Prime series, Tandav and Mirzapur, it was decided that the release of the second season be pushed. The official trailer for the second season has not yet been released.

Several FIRs have been filed against the makers of Tandav over hurt religious sentiments. The Allahabad high court recently dismissed another PIL after the petitioner withdrew in order to approach the 'proper authorities'.
