Renowned cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa on Thursday confirmed he will shoot Tamil actor Vijay’s next film, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 65. He also said that the project will be a pan-Indian affair.
The project marks Manoj’s reunion with Vijay after a decade. The duo had previously worked together in the latter’s film Nanban (2012), a Tamil remake of 3 Idiots (2009).
Manoj made his debut as a cinematographer with Tamil thriller Eeram (2009). It was his collaboration with filmmaker Gautham Menon in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010) that catapulted his career. He’s recently worked on Prabhas’s upcoming romantic drama Radhe Shyam.
Manoj took to Twitter on Thursday to share his excitement about being part of the project. “Excited to start yet another journey with this wonderful human being loved by the entire state and very soon by the entire nation! Looking forward to work from where we left kindling the memory lane.Thalapathy 65 going to be an pan India affair ! Get ready folks (sic).”

The film will be directed by Nelson Dillipkumar.
Meanwhile, Vijay was last seen on screen in Tamil film Master, which grossed over Rs300 crore worldwide during its theatrical run. The film was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
