Pavan Kirpalani’s Bhoot Police, starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam, is due to be released on 10 September.
The horror-comedy is set to clash with the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Liger (2021) which is set to introduce the Southern star to a pan-India audience. Liger, co-produced by Karan Johar, is due to be released on 9 September.
A new poster announcing the release date of the film shows Khan, Kapoor, Fernandez and Gautam getting ready to hunt ghosts. Kapoor and Fernandez are seen holding a spear and a whip respectively and the poster features the usual tropes of a paranormal film — a black cat, a crow, a headstone and a haunted house in the distance.

The feature film, which also stars Jaaved Jaaferi and Jamie Lever, was shot at the scenic locales of Dalhousie and Dharamshala. The crew completed the last schedule of the film in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan in January.
Bhoot Police is the latest in a slew of films such as Roohi (2021) and Bhool Bhulaiya 2 (2021) that have come out after the success of Amar Kaushik’s Stree (2018). The horror-comedy is being produced by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri.
