Sumeet Vyaas recently appeared on the TV show Bingo! Comedy Adda with his popular co-star Nidhi Singh.
They were seen engaging with the host, RJ Naved, in a freewheeling and entertaining conversation, and in the process also spilt out the beans on some laughter-filled personal experiences.
In his conversation with Naved, Vyas candidly revealed his challenging relationship with academics. “My father was very understanding of my academic potential. After I failed my 8th and 9th a couple of times, he came up to me and said that there’s no need to prove any point, if you are not able to clear, that’s absolutely fine. Do what you feel you can do best. For example, since you put up posters of cars in your room and if you have interest in cars, I’ll speak to the guy who services my car and you can work there for a year or a two, and after gaining experience, I’ll help you open up a new garage. You never know, you might excel in it and make a name for yourself,” he said.
The original star of OTT, Vyaas came into the limelight with TVF's Permanent Roommates (2014), one of India’s first streaming originals. In the web-series, he was cast opposite Singh, and their pair became hugely popular among youngsters. The actor has never looked back since then and has appeared in various shows and films.
Vyaas will be seen next in 1962: The War in the Hills, which will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on 26 February.
