Kriti Sanon wraps up shooting for Akshay Kumar's Bachchan Pandey

Kriti Sanon has wrapped up shooting for Bachchan Pandey. The film, which stars Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi and Jacqueline Fernandez, went on the floors in Jaisalmer in January 2021.

On Monday, Sanon unveiled a new look of her and Akshay Kumar announcing she has wrapped up the film. One of the bestest, most fun and memorable schedules i have had so far.. Time just flew and we ended up making a film in between the echoing laughters, gaming sessions and neverending lunches and dinners as we all became one family! It was surely the saddest Goodbye from the beautiful Suryagarh Palace.. but we shall meet again soon! Can’t wait to see you guys in Cinemas! (sic)." she wrote on Instagram.

Warsi has also finished shooting for the film. The actor shared a behind-the-scenes picture on Instagram and wrote, "Wrapped up Bachchan Pandey. This film is going to be very close to my heart, because I met some of the most talented & really wonderful people. Kriti, Jacqueline, Akshay, Sajid, Farhad & of course the crew.... thank you so much 🙏 (sic)."

Bacchan Pandey is a remake of Karthik Subbaraj's Tamil crime caper Jigarthanda (2014). Sanon plays a journalist who wishes to be a movie director.

Directed by Farhad Samji, the film also stars Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Abhimanyu Singh and Pankaj Tripathi. 

Bachchan Pandey was slated to be released on Christmas last year. However, it got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now it is scheduled to be released on 26 January 2022.
