The first look of the Taapsee Pannu-starrer Looop Lapeta has been unveiled by the actress. The thriller-comedy, which was announced last February, was due to be released on 29 January. However, it was put on ice during the lockdown in 2020 owning to coronavirus pandemic.

Pannu took to Twitter to introduce her character on Tuesday. “Hi, this is Savi and welcome on board a crazy ride (sic),” she tweeted.

The green-tinged photograph sees Pannu's character, Savi, sitting down on a toilet, taking a break after manically attempting to raise money to free her boyfriend. Savi, with a taped-up knee, stares down the audience.

The Hindi remake of the German cult hit, Run Lola Run (1998), also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin. In the German film, Franka Potente plays Lola who is tasked with getting 100,000 Deutschmarks to save her boyfriend's life in just 20 minutes. However, time keeps resetting each time until Lola succeeds in her mission.

The feature film, which is being directed by Aakash Bhatia, is being produced by Ellipsis Entertainment and Sony Pictures India.

Looop Lapeta has been written by Vinay Chhawal and Ketan Pedgaonkar.

No new release for the film has been announced as yet.
