Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma will begin shooting for their first film together, Jogira Sara Ra Ra, from 25 February.
Directed by Kushan Nandy, the film will be shot in the town of Barabanki near Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The production will later move to the cities of Lucknow, Rahimabad and Benaras.
The rom-com also features actor Sanjay Mishra who plays a pivotal role. Mimoh Chakraborty will be joining Siddiqui and Sharma.
Nandy shared some information about the upcoming schedule and said, "Jogira Sara Ra Ra is a quirky romantic comedy about an unlikely couple and a host of unusual characters. We begin our start-to-finish schedule with all of them, from the end of this month, and go on right until the middle of April.”
“It’s exciting to work with Nawaz once again and create something diametrically opposite of what we did last time,” the director said of their previous collaboration Babumoshai Bandookbaaz (2017). “This is a very special film for Nawaz and me and the wait because of the Covid lockdown seemed endless. I am so glad that we are finally going to be on the sets and will begin shooting. Also, I am looking forward to working with Neha and exploring her inherent goofiness and fun vibe,” he added.
The film, which is being produced by Naeem A Siddiqui and Touchwood Multimedia Creations, has been written by Ghalib Asad Bhopali. Kiran Shyam Shroff is the film's creative producer.
