Arjun Das to team up with filmmaker Vasanthabalan

The actor, who was seen playing a crucial role in the Tamil film Master, will star in the yet-untitled film.

National Award-winning filmmaker Vasanthabalan has announced his next project. The yet-untitled film will star Arjun Das, who was seen playing a crucial role in Tamil film Master.

Recent reports suggest that the film could be a remake of The Lift Boy (2019), which is about a young lift operator of a posh residential complex.

Arjun played a drug addict who serves as an ally to Vijay Sethupathi’s character Bhavani. In the film, he oversees a host of illegal activities under the supervision of Bhavani in a correction home.

Popular for his baritone voice, Arjun made his acting debut with Tamil supernatural thriller Andhaghaaram (2020) which was premiered directly on Netflix last year. He was seen playing a failed cricketer in the movie, which was directed by V Vignarajan and also featured Vinoth Kishan and Pooja Ramachandran.

Vasanthabalan is awaiting the release of his film Jail. The story details the events that lead to the arrest of a character played by GV Prakash Kumar.
