Arjun Rampal is all set to make his Telugu debut in the period film tentatively titled PSPK 27 starring Pawan Kalyan. The actor will be seen playing the role of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in this project, which will be directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.
Rampal is expected to join the sets in Hyderabad on February 19.
According to an article on the Cinema Express website, Pawan Kalyan, Rampal and others will shoot for the project over 12 days on specially-erected sets at the Charminar and Machilipatnam Port sets. "He worked on his body language to ace Aurangazeb's part and is excited to begin his new journey in Tollywood [the Telugu film industry]," a source was quoted in the report.
The project marks the maiden collaboration between Pawan Kalyan and Krish. As per the report, Jacqueline Fernandez plays Rampal’s sister. This will also be her first outing in Telugu cinema.
Krish has completed the script work and is currently busy finalising the rest of the cast and crew. The film will feature actors from numerous Indian film industries.
“The plan is to make a pan-Indian project. Since Krish is popular in Bollywood, he convinced Pawan Kalyan and the producer about making the film in multiple languages, including Hindi. This is one of the primary reasons why they’re on the verge of signing actors from across industries,” a source was recently quoted in multiple reports.
Nidhhi Agerwal has been signed as one of the leading ladies. The project is being bankrolled by AM Rathnam.
