Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjana Sanghi set to perform intense action sequences for Om: The Battle Within

The makers have erected a set that stretches for a kilometre at Mumbai's Film City for the action thriller.

Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjana Sanghi are to shoot some intense action sequences for Om: The Battle Within.

The action thriller will see the duo performing some high-octane sequences.

The makers have erected a set stretching for a kilometre at Mumbai's Film City studio to shoot some adrenaline-pumping sequences over the next few days.

Renowned stunt director Kecha Khamphakdee has been roped in to choreograph and shoot these elaborate scenes.

After this schedule, the team will shoot songs for the film and then travel abroad for the final schedule. The film had gone on the floors in December.

Speaking about the action sequences planned, producer Ahmed Khan said, "We have planned some grand action sequences for Om: The Battle Within which will be shot over the next few days. Action director Kecha Khamphakdee, who has worked with me on my directorial projects, has choreographed these sequences along with Parvez Shaikh. Watching the shoot gives us an adrenaline rush. It will be exciting to see the audience response once the film is out."

Khamphakdee has worked on many action-orientated films before such as Thuppakki (2012, Tamil), Vishwaroopam (2013, Tamil), Iddarammayilatho (2013, Telugu) and Rocky Handsome (2016, Hindi).

Om is being helmed by first-time director Karan Verma, son of well-known action director Tinu Verma. He has worked as a Steadicam operator on a number of films before.

Roy Kapur, who had lost weight for Anurag Basu's multi-starrer Ludo (2020), will be seen in a rugged avatar once again in this role after Malang (2020).

The actor has also reportedly learned several different action forms, which will be showcased in the fight scenes in Om.

Om is Sanghi's second film after her debut Dil Bechara (2020), the last film of the late Sushant Singh Rajput. It is being produced by Zee Studios, Ahmed Khan and Shaira Khan.
