Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap reunite for Do Baaraa

Taapsee Pannu has signed up for yet another intriguing project with director Anurag Kashyap, Do Baaraa. The project, which was revealed on 12 February, is a play on the date and month.

The project marks the actress and filmmaker's second collaboration after Manmarziyaan (2018). The thriller is being produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Sunir Kheterpal and Gaurav Bose.

A brief teaser video in which Pannu returns home to find herself talking to Kashyap through the television hints at a strange phenomenon that allows one to travel through time. The filmmaker urges her to join him on the project and when Pannu picks up a smartwatch that displays the numbers two and 12, Kashyap flashes her a mysterious smile.

The synopsis of the project reads, "One stormy night everything changed. Time, space, dimension and the universe. Set out on the journey of the unseen and unknown with us. Do Baaraa, a film that will make you wonder about everything that revolves around you, questioning the reality that you are in."

Pannu has been on a bit of a roll, completing several pending projects from Rashmi Rocket to Haseen Dillruba and beginning work on others such as Looop Lapeta and Shabaash Mithu.

The actress’s projects range from a sports drama, a murder mystery, a biopic on the former Indian cricket captain Mithali Raj, and the official remake of German film Run Lola Run (1998) which she wrapped up this week.

No release date has been announced yet for Do Baaraa but the film is expected to begin filming soon.
