Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday-starrer Liger to be released on 9 September

The multilingual film Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, will arrive in theatres on 9 September.

The makers of the film recently took to social media to announce the release date. Unveiling the new poster featuring Vijay in a combative mood, the film's producer Karan Johar tweeted, "All set to pack a punch around the globe! Liger is releasing in theatres on 9 September worldwide in fice languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam."

Meanwhile, Vijay, who is reported to be playing a mixed martial artist in this sports drama film, shared the same news and wrote, "The date is set. India we are coming!"

Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is being produced by Johar's Dharma Productions along with Charmme Kaur. The film is being shot in Hindi and Telugu and will be dubbed in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

The film will mark Vijay's debut in Hindi.
