The makers had earlier cast Aditya Roy Kapur as one of the villains but he opted out of the project last year.

Ek Villain starred Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor. This time, the film will have three leading ladies — Disha Patani, Tara Sutaria and Ruchika Kapoor.

Ek Villain Returns will be directed by Mohit Suri, who helmed the first time. Patani was cast in Suri’s last outing Malang (2020)

Speaking about the film, Suri said in a statement, “Ek Villain was my passion project and a labour of love. The kind of love that I still receive for Ek Villain overwhelms me. I am sure with Ek Villain Returns, the love is only going to grow bigger. And while I cannot reveal much about the film, I can assure you that it is going to be a thrilling rollercoaster ride.”
