It was revealed recently that Jitendra Joshi, Nikhil Mahajan and Nehha Pendse would be producing filmmaker Vaibhav Khisti’s next project.
Khisti was one of the two directors, with Suhrud Godbole, on the film June (2021), which was released earlier this year.
It is now learnt that Khisti's next film is titled Thoda Tuza Thoda Maza. Mahajan shared this information in an official statement while speaking about his own next directorial project, Raavsaheb.
“We are starting work on my directorial [project] Raavsaheb which is being produced by Nehha Pendse Bayas, Akshay Bardapurkar, Jitendra and myself," Mahajan said. "Additionally, we are producing Vaibhav Khisti’s next [project] Thoda Tuza Thoda Maza. Both films are going on the floors soon and will be ready for an early 2023 release.”
Mahajan, along with Joshi, Pendse and Bardapurkar, is also producing the directorial debut of Rohit Satpute, who has been his assistant.
Joshi revealed this in a statement. He said, “We are producing Raavsaheb, which is Nikhil’s directorial next along with Nehha Pendse Bayas and Akshay Bardapurkar. [We are] also producing Vaibhav Khisti’s film and Night Duty by another of Nikhil’s assistants, Rohit Satpute.”
Joshi and Mahajan had revealed that they would be producing Khisti's next film after they won, respectively, the Best Actor and Special Jury awards for their film Godavari (2022) at the 52nd International Film Festival of India in Goa last month.
About the win, Mahajan said, “It is nothing short of a dream. Jitendra and I started Godavari with the intent of making a film in the memory of our friend Mr Nishikant Kamat. We worked with a very small budget against a crazy production schedule in the middle of a pandemic to make this happen. So while we were just content having made the film we wanted to make, to win such prestigious awards in an international competition is humbling.”
