Ramya Pandian joins Mammootty on Lijo Jose Pellissery's Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam

Actress Ramya Pandian has come on board Lijo Jose Pellissery's next project, which stars veteran actor Mammootty.

The actress confirmed her participation in the project on a television show, before confirming it on social media.

Titled Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, the film was announced in November and will be produced by Mammootty's home banner, Mammootty Company. 

Ramya Pandian posted a picture of herself with the superstar confirming her part in the film.

The actress was seen earlier this year in the Amazon Prime Video original film Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum (2021), which was produced by Tamil star couple Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment.

In her post, Pandian wrote, "I am glad to officially announce that my next project is in Malayalam. To have an opportunity to work with the critically acclaimed and most influential director Lijo Jose Pellissery sir and megastar Mammootty sir has been a dream come true. Thank you Theni Eswar sir and the team." Eswar is the cinematographer on the project.

Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam is a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual and will be shot in Velankanni and Pazhani townships. The film marks Lijo Jose Pellissery's first bilingual film as well as Mammootty's maiden production. It will be Pellissery's next after the acclaimed Churuli (2021), which was screened at the International Film Festival of Kerala in February.
