Actor Vishal, who has donned the directorial hat for the upcoming Tamil thriller Thupparivaalan 2, will finally resume its shoot in April next year. He also revealed that the recce for the shoot in London will begin in January.
In late 2019, the shooting of Thupparivaalan 2 was kicked off in London where a team under the supervision of filmmaker Mysskin completed a schedule. However, reports emerged that Mysskin went overboard with the budget and that led to a falling out with Vishal, who is also the film's producer.‘
Following this, Mysskin opted out of the project citing budget issues and a demand to increase his remuneration. When Vishal clarified that Mysskin was paid as per the initial agreement, the latter exited the project and levelled many allegations against Vishal.
Following Mysskin’s exit, Vishal said he would take over the reins of the project. On Monday, he took to Twitter to confirm that the shooting will resume in April 2022 in London.

Thupparivaalan 2 stars newcomer Ashya as the leading lady. Lensman Nirav Shah is the cinematographer while Ilaiyaraaja has been roped in to compose the music. The film also features Prasanna in a key role as Vishal’s partner.
A source close to Vishal confirmed that the portion that was shot by Mysskin will not be used in the film and that the team plans to reshoot some key portions in London sometime next year.
Mysskin and Vishal had teamed up for Thupparivaalan (2017), an investigative thriller, five years ago. The film was received well both critically and commercially. Vishal plays a private detective, modelled on Sherlock Holmes, in the movie. Vinay Rai and Andrea Jeremiah played key roles.
