Atrangi Re song 'Rait Zara Si': Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush's complex romance unfolds with this beautiful melody

Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re promises to be a musical film straight from AR Rahman's playlist. The second song from the album captures the arrhythmic melody of the composer's style, with a focus on harmony, turning it into a must-hear. With vocals by Arijit Singh and Shashaa Tirupati, the music promises to add a wonderful dimension to the film.

The visuals for the song are just as poetic as Irshad Kamil's lyrics. From the contrasting personalities of Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush's characters to their first interactions as newlyweds, the duo looks the part. However, it is Dhanush who looks more solid in the emotional sequences.

The visuals also represent a contrast between the two relationships which Sara Ali Khan's character is caught in. In fact, there is some speculation that Akshay Kumar's character in the film is a figment of the heroine's imagination. From the visuals, his almost supernatural entry and presence only with Sara Ali Khan add to the speculation. Some of the scenes also seem to be in the backdrop of a hospital.

The music by AR Rahman is a pleasant melody that plays into the feel of the happy emotions. The slow rhythm picks up and moves with a steady beat to make it hypnotic. Arijit Singh comes in with his wonderful vocals to add another layer of harmony to the composition. The flute (Kareem Kamalar) flows just beneath the surface of the composition, adding a depth of emotions. Shashaa Tirupati combines to great effect with Arijit Singh's enthusiasm for a good duet.
