Nawazuddin Siddiqui is currently shooting for Kangana Ranaut's maiden production venture Tiku Weds Sheru. The actor on Thursday took to Instagram to share a black and white picture from the sets of the film featuring himself and the lead actress Avneet Kaur

The acclaimed actor captioned the post, "Shooting today was total surrealism. I had always admired the beauty of Black and White Cinema on screen but today, I also got to experience it (sic)."

In the picture, Siddiqui and Avneet appear to be emulating the legendary Raj Kapoor and Nargis. It seems that the artistes have attempted to recreate a scene from the popular song 'Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua' from Shree 420 (1955).

Incidentally, the first half of Siddique's Bal Thackeray biopic Thackeray (2019) was in black and white.

Tiku Weds Sheru, which is being directed by Sai Kabir, is being backed by Ranaut's banner Manikarnika Films. Earlier in the day, the actress claimed that she had found legendary filmmaker Bimal Roy's Newall camera on the sets of the film.

Sharing her excitement with her fans, Ranaut posted a picture with the camera and wrote "This is no ordinary day, today one the sets of Tiku weds Sheru I found a rare gem, Newall camera right from the golden age of Indian Cinema 1950’s and this belonged to one of the greatest directors of all time Shri Bimal Roy ji (sic)".

Expressing her gratitude towards the family of Bimal Roy, the actress also revealed that she is gearing up for her second directorial venture, Emergency.

Ranaut had last month unveiled the first-look posters of Siddiqui and Avneet from the film where they were seen clad in 1980s attire.
