Mrinal Kulkarni in The Kashmir Files

The makers of Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files have shared the motion poster of the character played by Mrinal Kulkarni.

While the makers haven't revealed much about the character, it seems she is from a well-to-do family. Her fierce expressions and the dialogue make it clear that she is a concerned citizen.

The film is based on the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 and its consequences. The text on the poster highlights the crimes committed against the minority community and calls for the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

The makers of The Kashmir Files have shared motion posters of Anupam Kher and Pallavi Joshi's characters. In the film, the veteran actor plays a retired professor from Srinagar named Pushkar Nath Pandit. He and his family, comprising his son, daughter-in-law and two grandsons, become victims of violence against the Kashmiri Pandits and are forced to flee the Valley.

Joshi, who is Agnihotri’s wife, plays a radical professor named Radhima Menon, who supports the idea of a ‘free Kashmir'.

Also starring Mithun Chakraborty, Chinmay Mandlekar and Darshan Kumaar, The Kashmir Files will be released on 26 January 2022.
