Zee5 revealed the motion logo of its upcoming original series Mukti, which has been directed by Rohan Ghose, on Wednesday.

Starring Ritwick Chakraborty and Arjun Chakraborty, the period drama is based on the Indian Independence movement in the early 1930s.

The title emerges from beneath a Union Jack on a prison wall as it is hit by a big ball.

Mukti features Ditipriya Roy, Sudip Sarkar and Chitrangada Shatarupa.

The director said in a statement, “It is exciting to partner with a content giant like Zee5 and put forth a nationalist content piece that can reach the audience across the world. Mukti is a special show which will stay with viewers long after the end credits and make people ponder about the true meaning of Mukti. We have commenced shooting and are looking forward to delivering a classic series."

Besides Mukti, Zee5 is set to stream a host of Bengali content in the coming year, including Arindam Sil’s Feluda – Gangtok E Gondogol, Anjan Dutt’s Seven and Raktakarabi starring Vikram Chatterjee and Raima Sen.

Produced by Pritam Choudhury, Mukti will premiere on ZEE5 early next year.
