The release of the Punjabi-language film Galwakdi, starring Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The film was scheduled to arrive in theatres on 31 December.
Jassar shared the news on Instagram on Thursday, expressing his desire for theatres to be opened under more pleasant circumstances. He also thanked his fans for their love and support.
The new release date of the film is yet to be announced.
Directed by Sharan Art, the film is based on a story by Randeep Chahal and features BN Sharma, Raghveer Boli, Rupinder Rupi and Honey Mattu.
The trailer of the film sees Jassar play Jagteshwar, a librarian who is strict and fastidious. While Gabbi plays Amber, a fun and free-spirited young woman.
