Salman Khan’s Antim: The Final Truth (2021) ended its first week with a collection of around Rs28 crore nett, according to the trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.
Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, the film had a decent Sunday, earning Rs7.75 crore nett, but the numbers began declining from Monday. There was a further drop on Wednesday, but the film held out on Thursday to complete its first week's run.
Antim continues to do well in Mumbai and Maharashtra as it is a remake of the Marathi film Mulshi Pattern (2018). It has also done well in the neighbouring Nizam and Andhra territories.
The Salman Khan film was easily able to beat the challenge of John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021), which was released a day earlier. The Milap Zaveri feature has proved to be a disaster.
Antim will take on Milan Luthria’s Tadap (2021), which introduces Ahan Shetty, today. The action film might get some interest initially as it marks the debut of Suniel Shetty’s son. But the competition over the weekend might not be as strong.
Meanwhile, Sooryavanshi (2021), starring Akshay Kumar, added Rs6.30 crore nett in its fourth week, taking its overall collection at the domestic box office to Rs191 crore nett. The Rohit Shetty film has also been premiered on Netflix, so that is likely to affect its collections as it hits the month's mark next week.
