Jr NTR has childlike mentality, lion-like personality, says Ram Charan

During a recent promotional event for SS Rajamouli’s upcoming ambitious action film RRR, Ram Charan thanked everyone except a key member of the cast.

“I will thank everybody but not Tarak [Jr NTR]. If I thank him, I will degrade the beautiful brotherhood we share. He is just one year older than me but he is like a child. Childlike mentality and lion-like personality. I share a beautiful relationship with him and I will continue to keep up with that relationship forever,” said Ram Charan at the event. 

There have been social media wars between the fans of Ram Charan and Jr NTR in recent times. Ram Charan’s comments might help bring peace between both camps. Recently, the fan associations of both the actors reportedly buried the hatchet by dividing theatres between them with regards to putting out large cutouts of both the actors. 

RRR sees Ram Charan and Jr NTR play the freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju aka Ram and Komaram Bheem aka Bheem. The film is a fictional account where the two revolutionaries meet and unitedly fight against the British. 

RRR will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. At the trailer launch of the film in Mumbai earlier this month, Rajamouli said that language becomes secondary in a movie when one has confidence in the content.

“If you believe in your core storytelling, you don’t need to worry about languages,” said the filmmaker. “Language is just a medium of communication. What is actually being communicated is the story that we are telling. In cinema, the visual is what tells you a story.”
