Director Saptaswa Basu has finished shooting his upcoming horror film Jotugriho, starring Parambrata Chatterjee, Bonny Sengupta, Piyali Chatterjee and Paayel Sarkar. The film has been shot in Kalimpong and Kolkata.

The filmmaker said, “The shooting schedule turned out great. We are excited to release Jotugriho in the first half of 2022 and we are confident that the audience will find the psychological horror to be a chilling and unique experience"

In the film, Parambrata Chatterjee will be seen as a middle-aged Christian priest named Joseph while Sengupta plays Rehaan, who goes to Nishadganj, a fictional village in North Bengal, to work as a hotel manager.

Rehaan encounters Meghna (Piyali Chatterjee), who participates in humanitarian work carried out by the local church, and falls in love with her. Soon, some mysterious occurrences take place, posing a threat to Meghna’s life. Rehaan and Joseph then attempt to solve the mystery.
