Last week, Salman Khan said a sequel to his 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan is in the works. He also said the film is being written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who was one of the writers of the first film.
Khan has now revealed that the sequel will be called Pavanputra Bhaijaan. During a conversation with reporters on his 56th birthday today, Khan was asked whether reports about him working with SS Rajamouli were correct.
The actor said, “No, there is nothing like that. If it happens it will be great as Rajamouli is a very good director. But I am definitely working with his father, KV Vijayendra Prasad. He has written the script of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and now he is writing its sequel too and has named it Pavanputra Bhaijaan. As soon as he completes it and I complete shooting these two films [Tiger 3 and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali], I’ll start shooting for it.”
On his upcoming projects, Khan added, “There might also be a sequel to No Entry (2005). Tiger 3 should be released by December 2022.”
Interestingly, after news of a sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan was published last week, Kabir Khan, who had directed the first film, told the news channel India Today, “That announcement is something that Salman did. Neither the script is written nor has the idea been formed really. There is literally nothing right now we can talk about.”
