Dia Mirza wraps up shooting for Anubhav’s Sinha’s Bheed, thanks director for ‘precious experience’

Dia Mirza has finished shooting for Anubhav’s Sinha’s Bheed (2022), starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar. Said to be a socio-political drama, the film went on the floors in November in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The actress shared a black-and-white photograph of herself with Sinha with the caption, “Iss Bheed ke rooh ki awaaz seedhe insaniyat tak ja pahoncheji [The soul and voice of Bheed will reach through to humanity]. Thank you Anubhav Sinha for yet another precious experience. Keep telling stories. It’s a picture wrap!!! (sic)”

While Sinha is working with Rao and Pednekar for the first time, he has worked with Mirza in Dus (2005), Cash (2007) and Thappad (2020).  

Mirza had eventful year; she wed businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in February and gave birth to their son Avyaan Azaad in May. She was last seen playing herself in the Netflix series Call My Agent: Bollywood (2021).

Sinha's next Anek (2022) is a socio-political set in the Northeast starring Ayushmann Khurrana. The film is due to be released on 31 March 2022.
