Danish Sait made his Kannada debut in director Saad Khan's sleeper hit satirical drama Humble Politiciann Nograj (2018), which was also the first Kannada movie to make it to Amazon Prime Video.
Now cashing in on its success, the actor-director duo is coming up with a spin-off web series of the same name. The 10-episode series will be streamed on Voot Select from 6 January 2022.
Ahead of the release, the makers shared the teaser of the series which sees Sait reprise his role as a chauvinistic, naughty, yet street-smart politician Nograj who is on a mission to become the chief minister of Karnataka. From disturbing the assembly speaker to watching pornography in the House, the one-minute-long teaser shows Sait's politician engage in various absurdly funny antics. Although the teaser doesn't reveal much, because the show is being released directly on a streaming platform, we can hope to see a lot more edgy content this time around.
The teaser also features popular stand-up comedian Varun Thakur and actress Geetanjali Kulkarni.
Produced by Applause Entertainment and First Action, the series features Prakash Belawadi, Vinay Chendoor and Disha Madan.
Check out the teaser and let us know if you are keen to watch this series.
