The teaser for the upcoming Hoichoi web-series Gora introduces Ritwick Chakraborty as eccentric private detective Gourab Sen aka Gora.

Created by Sayantan Ghosal, the series marks Chakraborty's digital debut. It also features Ishaa Saha in a crucial role.

While the poster for Gora, released earlier, with Chakraborty's character playing the harmonium caused intrigue, the teaser shows how his 'singing' makes him everyone’s headache. While singing and playing the harmonium, Gora neither cares for being in tune nor does he make sense with the lyrics, often incorporating gibberish.

A friendly character in the teaser questions Gora's expertise as a detective, because, despite being corrected multiple times, he fails to even remember the names of people and requires an assistant to keep track of clues.

However, though he is not easily trusted by people, he makes it a point to introduce himself as a 'serial-killer specialist'. Even when a distressed Ishaa Saha accuses him of not trying to stop a murder, Gora tells her to consult him when the criminal has committed not one but several murders.

Clearly the creator is attempting to build an alternative image of a detective, usually depicted on screen as suave and observant, with the versatile actor.

Hoichoi plans to start streaming Gora next month. Watch the teaser below and let us know if you are keen to watch the series.
