Disha Patani, Raashii Khanna join Sidharth Malhotra in Yodha

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions recently announced its upcoming film Yodha and Sidharth Malhotra's casting in the lead. This is the banner’s first multi-film action franchise. The first movie is slated for release on 11 November 2022.

The makers have now announced not one but two leading ladies in the film — Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna.

Dharma Productions announced the names on social media: “Our two female leads of Yodha are coming to hijack your hearts — welcoming Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna to the family! See you in cinemas on 11th November 2022!”

Patani has earlier featured in action films like Baaghi 2 (2018) and Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai (2020). Khanna, who is a relative newcomer to Hindi cinema, also has Thank You (2022) and an untitled film with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK starring Shahid Kapoor in the works, besides the much-talked-about Ajay Devgn-starrer web-series Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness.

Yodha went on the floors exactly a month ago. Apoorva Mehta, chief operating officer of Dharma Productions, had said on Twitter, “Our first ever action franchise begins! Presenting Yodha, starring Sidharth Malhotra and directed by the dynamic duo Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. Landing in cinemas near you on 11th November 2022.”

The makers had even shared a couple of posters featuring Malhotra who appeared ready for combat.
