Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has confirmed that he will appear in the upcoming Disney+ American mini-series Ms Marvel. Though the actor did not disclose who he is playing, he admitted that he had had “good fun” while shooting for the series in an interview with Film Companion, an online film magazine.

Created by Bisha K Ali, Ms Marvel is about Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager and a fan of the Avengers, who gets superpowers of her own. Ms Marvel is the sixth television series in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Starring Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Matt Lintz and Mohan Kapur, the series will also feature Pakistani actress Nimra Bucha, along with Khan.

Khan stated, “Yeah, I am. Woh toh main deny nahi kar sakta, ab toh main jhooth nahi bol sakta, woh toh unhone khud news laga di hai (I can’t deny that or lie about it because they have put out the news themselves),” he said.

Speaking of the experience of shooting the series, Khan added, “It’s a wonderful experience, it was good fun. The cast that I worked with, the people that I worked with, it was good fun, but I am sorry, I cannot say anything more than that at this point in time.”

Comprising six episodes, Ms Marvel is slated to be released in mid-2022.
