Coronavirus update: Vikram tests positive for COVID-19

The actor’s manager took to Twitter to inform fans and well-wishers that the actor is only experiencing mild symptoms.

Tamil actor Vikram has tested positive for the coronavirus and is experiencing mild symptoms. The star is undergoing treatment at home.

Vikram’s manager took to Twitter to assure fans and well-wishers that there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

To a tweet by the actor’s fan page on Twitter, Vikram’s manager replied: “Dear well-wishers, very mild only and nothing to worry. Thanks for your prayers. Suryanarayanan, Manager (sic).”

Vikram is currently busy with three Tamil projects in different stages of production. In the Mahaan, which is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj, he will be sharing the screen with his son Dhruv for the first time.

Vikram is also part of Mani Ratnam’s upcoming magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. The project marks Vikram’s reunion with the filmmaker after a decade, and he will be seen playing one of the lead characters.

He will be next seen on screen in Tamil action-thriller Cobra, which also stars former Indian pacer Irrfan Pathan as the antagonist.

Produced by Seven Screen Studio in association with Viacom 18 Studios, Cobra went on the floors in August 2019. The project marks the maiden collaboration between Vikram and director Ajay Gnanamuthu.
