Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi have wrapped up shooting for their upcoming untitled romantic comedy-drama. The film, which went on the floors last month in Mumbai, also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Indian American actor Sendhil Ramamurthy .
Vidya took to Instagram to share the news as well as a candid picture of Gandhi and herself. "And just like that, a wonderful winter spell in Ooty comes to an end. As we wrap the shoot of our untitled romantic comedy-drama, will cherish these memories for life. Missed Sendhil and Ileana!" she wrote.
Gandhi, who shot to fame with Hansal Mehta-directed series Scam 1992 (2020) also shared the same photograph and said he had fun ride with his co-stars.
The upcoming film marks the directorial debut of well-known advertising filmmaker Shirsha Guha Thakurta and is being backed by Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment.
The film, which marks Applause Entertainment's foray into feature films, is reportedly a progressive, uninhibited take on modern relationships.
Earlier, when they had announced the film, Sameer Nair, CEO of Applause Entertainment, had said that the film is a sparkling, sophisticated romance that subverts all notions of love and fidelity in modern times. The film is expected to be released in 2022.
