Nehha Pendse bagged the Best Actress award for her performance in the Marathi drama June (2021) at the recently concluded 19th Pune International Film Festival.

The film, helmed by first-timers Suhrud Godbole and Vaibhav Khisti, saw Pendse play a woman struggling to come to terms with her past.

Of the film's big win, Pendse, who was also one of its producers, said, “It’s a wonderful feeling to see how well our film has been received by audiences and critics from around the world.

"June has been a soul-enriching journey for me. Nikhil, Suhrud and Vaibhav really helped me unravel complex emotions on the screen. I discovered a new love for filmmaking after working behind the scenes as a producer. I am happy that my viewers and global critics are enjoying our work."

Pendse will be seen next in Nikhil Mahajan's action drama Raavsaheb and the actress is quite excited about the project. "My upcoming film Raavsaheeb has already begun and we have garnered immense response after our first announcement," she said. "It will be one of the most diverse Marathi films and power-packed with action and drama. We are sure audiences will show the same kind of excitement and love for this film.”

This film will be surely an exciting plot with hard-hitting entertainment. But that’s all I can say for now!”
