Punjabi star Gippy Grewal’s highly anticipated film Shava Ni Girdhari Lal is set to be released in theatres on Friday 17 December. The film has Grewal’s character Girdhari Lal courting different women, and Tanu Grewal’s character is one of them.

The romantic comedy features Girdhari Lal as a man in search of a suitable bride. The film features cameos by several popular actresses who portray potential brides.

The latest song to be released from the film, ‘Kuljeete’, describes Girdhari Lal’s hope that he will marry Tanu Grewal’s character, Kuljeet. The lyrics expresses his anticipation and a mood of celebration. The song is sung by Gippy himself with music by Jatinder Shah and lyrics by Veet Baljit.

The song features the back-up dancers all dressed in white, which is in stark contrast with the other vividly colourful songs released from the film so far. Given this, one can see that the song takes place at a funeral, especially as there is a funny moment when the corpse gets up and starts dancing with the others! It is possibly a dream sequence taking place in the context of a funeral.
