Attack teaser: John Abraham gets into Robocop mode to fight terrorism 

The teaser of Lakshya Raj Anand's action bonanza Attack, which stars John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh, is a compilation of explosive moments. The clip opens with the visual of a massive explosion and shots of John Abraham's hero character wounded and crying in the aftermath. The blast seems to foreshadow the decision of the supercop to turn to cybernetic implants to help battle terror. Voila! A new superhero is born with the ability to fight everything in sight. Fernandez and Singh play the superhero's support system.

The visuals capture the action vibe that has come to dominate John's recent choices. The addition of a sci-fi element evokes curiosity but is a risky choice as Hindi cinema has not always dealt with elements from speculative fiction well.

The film, announced in 2020, had been postponed several times owing to the pandemic. In October 2021, the makers announced that the film would be released on the Republic Day weekend. Attack will be out in theatres on 28 January 2022.
