Samara Tijori, daughter of veteran actor Deepak Tijori, has made her acting debut in the Abhishek Bachchan-starrer Bob Biswas, which is being streamed on Zee5.

Directed by first-time filmmaker Diya Annapurna Ghosh, the film, which is a spin-off to Sujoy Ghosh’s 2012 thriller Kahaani features Samara as Mini, the daughter of the titular assassin, played by Bachchan. Actress Chitrangda Singh has essayed the character of Mary, her mother.

In the film, Samara's character is preparing for her medical entrance test but is under undue pressure to perform well. To alleviate the mounting stress, she keeps popping the blue tablets that are all the rage among young people.

“It was an amazing experience working with such a great star cast. I still remember I got a call from the casting agency saying I’d be playing Abhishek Bachchan’s daughter, and I was extremely excited about it,” said Samara.

“On the set, Abhishek sir and Chitrangda ma’am treated me like their own daughter," she added.

According to the newcomer, Singh used to take care of every little thing for her. “She used to remind me to eat on time, rehearse my lines and push me to give my best. She was like my real mother on the sets,” she added.

Samara thoroughly enjoyed her time on the sets of Bob Biswas and also said that she’d be more than happy to work with the entire team again.
