Coronavirus update: Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amrita Arora, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan test positive

Actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora have tested positive for COVID-19. Along with them, Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Maheep Kapoor and Sohail Khan’s wife Seema Khan have also been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

All four women were guests at a party hosted by Karan Johar at his residence in Mumbai on 8 December. The bash was also attended by Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora.

Confirming the news about Kareena and Amrita, municipal authorities told the news agency ANI, “Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora tested positive for COVID-19. Both had violated COVID norms and attended several parties. BMC has asked people who came in contact with the two to undergo RT-PCR tests.”

Speaking about Maheep’s condition, actor Sanjay Kapoor told The Indian Express newspaper, “Yes, she is COVID-positive with mild symptoms and she has self-isolated.”

Maheep and Seema were part of the Netflix show The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives that was aired last year. The show was produced by Johar’s digital banner Dharmatic Entertainment.

The recent entry of the latest Omicron variant of the novel coronavirus has worried citizens in the country.
