Galwakdi trailer: Opposites attract in this romantic comedy

The trailer of Galwakdi, a Punjabi-language film starring Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi, features the former as Jagteshwar, a rather starched personality who is obsessed with minute details in his life. He lectures his parents about hygiene and wants everything to be done perfectly, to his satisfaction. He even eats a sandwich with a knife and fork! His parents have lost their patience with the highly controlled environment of their home. 

Gabbi plays Amber, the polar opposite of Jagteshwar. She is fun, free-spirited and refuses to follow rules, including the ones laid out by her parents. She comes to live with Jagteshwar and his parents, turning his world topsy-turvy. Despite their differences, the two strike a friendship and eventually fall in love. The trailer concludes with a twist as Amber meets with an accident, even as Jagteshwar is waiting for her on the other side. 

The melodious title song of the film plays in the background and the different character played by Jassar is sure to get audiences interested.

Galwakdi has been directed by Sharan Art, based on a story by Randeep Chahal. The filmmaker has frequently collaborated with Jassar and the two worked together in the film Rabb Da Radio 2 (2019) as well. Galwakdi also stars BN Sharma, Raghveer Boli, Rupinder Rupi and Honey Mattu.

The film is to be released in theatres on 31 December 2021.
