The Ayushmann Khurrana- and Vaani Kapoor-starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui opened with a low Rs3.35 crore nett on Friday and hasn't registered much growth since.

While the Abhishek Kapoor film made Rs4.25 crore nett on Saturday, its earnings on Sunday remained at Rs4.75 crore, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.

The film has had fairly positive reviews. But the film's offbeat subject may have ensured that its appeal is limited to an urban audience. Strangely, however, the film has not done well in the metros either.

The total domestic collection of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui currently stands at Rs12.25 crore. According to trade sources, the film was made on a budget of around Rs40 crore and going by the response so far, it may be Khurrana's first flop in a while.

What’s worse for Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is that it has only one clear week at the box office. This weekend will see the release of the much awaited Hollywood film Spider-Man: No Way Home. Advance booking for the film has been very good, according to trade circles. Once that film hits the theatres, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui's fate would be sealed.
