Scam 1992, Mirzapur (Season 2), The Family Man 2 are big winners at Filmfare OTT awards

Hansal Mehta's web-series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story (2020), starring Pratik Gandhi, was the big winner at the Filmfare OTT Awards for 2021.

The SonyLIV series was followed closely by Amazon Prime Video's Mirzapur (Season 2) and The Family Man (Season 2) at the event held at the Taj Land's End hotel in Bandra, Mumbai, on Thursday.

The awards evening saw Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Taapsee Pannu, Sanya Malhotra, Ananya Panday and Tamannaah Bhatia join the nominees on the red carpet.

Scam 1992 won the triple treat of Best Series, Best Actor (Series, Male) (Gandhi) and Best Director (Hansal and Jai Mehta). In addition, the series won 12 other awards, including Best Dialogue (Series, Drama) (Vaibhav Vishal, Karan Vyas, Sumit Purohit and Saurav Dey), Best Adapted Screenplay (Saurav Dey, Sumit Purohit), Best Original Soundtrack (Achint Thakkar), Best Editor (Sumit Purohit, Kunal Walve), Best Cinematographer (Pratham Mehta) and Best Production Design (Payal Ghose and Tarpan Shrivastava).

Mirzapur (Season 2) was the critics' choice for Best Series while the Best Director (Critics) award went to Raj Nidimoru, Suman Kumar and Krishna DK for The Family Man (Season 2).

The thriller series led by Bajpayee and Samantha also won three major acting awards. Samantha won the award for Best Actor (Series, Female) and Sharib Hashmi won the Best Supporting Actor (Male) award while Bajpayee was the critics' choice for Best Actor (Series, Male).

The Family Man (Season 2) also won awards for Best Original Screenplay (Series) (Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK, Suman Kumar, Suparn Varma) and Best Original Story (Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK, Suman Kumar).

Nawazuddin Siddiqui won the award for Best Actor (Male) in a web original film for Sudhir Mishra's Serious Men (2020). The Netflix film also won the trophy for Best Film (Web Original).

Konkona Sensharma won the corresponding Best Actor (Female) award for her performance in the Netflix anthology Ajeeb Daastaans (2021).

The second season of the TVF original series Gullak won awards for Best Comedy Series, Best Actor (Male, Series, Comedy) (Jameel Khan), Best Actor (Female, Series, Comedy) (Geetanjali Kulkarni), Best Supporting Actor (Male, Series, Comedy) (Vaibhav Raj Gupta), and Best Supporting Actor (Female, Series, Comedy) (Sunita Rajwar).

Another winner for a Netflix project was Amruta Subhash, who won Best Supporting Actor (Female, Series, Drama) for Bombay Begums. Huma Qureshi won the corresponding critics' award for her digital debut in Maharani (2021).
