Sun Pictures took to Twitter today to reveal a video clip in which Pooja Hegde is seen talking about completing the shooting of her portion in the upcoming Tamil film Beast (2022).
Announcing that she has wrapped up filming of her portion, Hegde said she had never laughed so much while making a movie.
Hegde returns to Tamil cinema after a decade with Beast, where she is paired with superstar Vijay for the first time.
In the video, she said: “It has been great working for Beast. Been an absolute pleasure to be on the set. We laughed so much making the film and I hope that you guys are going to laugh as well in typical Nelson style. This film is going to be absolute entertainment. It felt like a vacation while we were shooting for the film. Sadly, today is my last day on the set.”

If the industry grapevine is to be believed, Vijay plays a special agent in the movie. If everything goes as planned, the film will hit the screens next year during the Tamil new year.
The film marks Vijay's maiden collaboration with director Nelson who rose to fame with his crime comedy Kolamaavu Kokila (2018), starring Nayanthara as a middle-class working woman forced into the drug trade.
Two months ago, his Tamil action comedy Doctor (2021), starring Sivakarthikeyan, was released on Disney+ Hotstar.
Vijay was earlier seen on the big screen in the Tamil action drama Master (2021), where he played a college professor with a drinking problem. The film, which grossed over Rs200 crore at the box office, saw him join hands with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for the first time.
Master hit the screens early this year for the Pongal festival. It was the first mainstream Tamil release since the pandemic-induced lockdown starting March 2020.
