While the previous looks to Basil Thomas’s Minnal Murali had a light and quirky touch to the superhero story, this new bonus trailer adds intrigue by adding a bit of drama and conflict to the tale.

Tovino Thomas plays an ordinary tailor Jaison who is transformed into a superhuman after being struck by lightning. This new footage shows the village where he resides in despair and gloom in the aftermath of the lightning striking it.

The film, which also features Guru Somasundaram, Harisree Ashokan and Aju Varghese, seems to show a poignant battle between good and evil with Tovino’s Minnal Murali leading the way. The music by Shaan Rahman and Sushin Shyam adds to the mystery and aura of the feature.

Speaking of the new footage, director Basil Joseph said, “I am delighted and overjoyed with the response to the trailer. In order to keep our fans guessing, we decided on sharing a sneak peek of what is to come, through this bonus trailer. Our endeavour is to give the audience a good movie and to entertain them through the film. With the bonus trailer we hope the audience are intrigued and as excited about watching the film as we are to show it to them.”

Producer Sophia Paul of Weekend Blockbusters added, “Our goal was to make Minnal Murali a well-rounded film and a family entertainer with something for everyone. Along with the story, it is the amazing cast who have all delivered surreal performances and the crew whose efforts will make people want to watch the film again and again. The bonus trailer will surely leave the audience super excited for what is to come.”

Minnal Murali will be premiered in Malayalam with dubs in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and English on Christmas eve on Netflix. Watch the bonus trailer and let us know if you are keen to see the film.
