Mohanlal claims Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham has earned Rs100 crore in reservations

The Malayalam superstar revealed in a tweet that the film will be released on a massive 4,100 screens worldwide with 16,000 shows daily.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal took to Twitter today to reveal that his film, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, will have a massive release tomorrow with 16,000 daily shows worldwide and claim that it has already minted Rs100 crore through ticket reservations.

The film, produced by Antony Perumbavoor, also stars Arjun, Suniel Shetty, Keerthy Suresh, Manju Warrier and Siddique. It is also being released in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.

Mohanlal revealed in his tweet that the film will be released on a massive 4,100 screens worldwide.

He shared a poster along with his tweet which claims that the film has already entered the Rs100 crore club through ticket reservations.

The makers unveiled the film’s trailer yesterday and going by the scale and vision it can safely be assumed that the movie, directed by Priyadarshan, will be a visual epic.

Marakkar also marks Keerthy’s big comeback to Malayalam cinema after a gap of seven years. She had made her debut in a lead role with the film Geethaanjali (2013). Since then she has been busy in Tamil and Telugu cinema.

Marakkar was supposed to be released last March, but the release was postponed indefinitely on account of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

When rumours began swirling that the film would be released directly on an OTT platform, director Priyadarshan scotched them, saying the film can only be enjoyed on the big screen and the team was ready to wait for a theatrical release.
