Filmmaker Selvaraghavan joins cast of Beast

Renowned Tamil filmmaker Selvaraghavan, who is making his acting debut in the upcoming thriller Saani Kaayidham, has landed a key role in Vijay’s upcoming film Beast, which is currently being filmed. 

Sun Pictures, the makers of the film, took to Twitter to make the announcement on Saturday. The rumour has it that Selvaraghavan plays one of the antagonists.

The makers also confirmed that the artistes Shine Tom Chacko, Aparna Das and Ankur Ajit Vikal are also part of the project.

Beast marks the maiden collaboration between Vijay and filmmaker Nelson Dilip Kumar. The project also stars Pooja Hegde. 

The project went on the floors earlier this year and the team even completed shooting the first schedule in Georgia. The team is currently filming on a specially erected set in Chennai. 

If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, Vijay plays a special agent in the movie. If everything goes as planned, the film will hit the screens next year during the Pongal festival.
