The actor's long-delayed Hindi film Oye Mamu! has been released on BookMyShow Stream.

The long-delayed heist film Oye Mamu! (2021) has finally been released on BookMyShow Stream. Written and directed by Vikram Singh, the film stars Ruslaan Mumtaz and Kulraj Randhawa, along with Gulshan Grover, Brijendra Kala, Asrani, Tiku Talsania and Mohan Kapoor.

The project has been produced by Nikhil Panchamiya and Dilip Bafna and is presented by Fourth Wall Entertainment. The music of Oye Mamu! has been composed by Sandesh Shandilya while the lyrics have been written by Swanand Kirkire.

Explaining the film’s release strategy, Vikram Singh said, “As a team, we are happy that the film will reach audiences on 6 August and that too via BookMyShow Stream, followed by Apple iTunes and Google Play, and then subscription OTT and satellite TV. I am most excited about the ensemble cast that we were lucky enough to assemble for this film.”

The comedy revolves around the relationship between Rohit Mamu (Ruslaan) and his mischievous 10-year-old nephew Akhil who have to live together for two weeks. The film’s synopsis states, 'Akhil’s secret ambition to become a VJ collides with a museum trip, a diamond robbery, the runaway bhanja, the police and crooks on Mamu’s tail — to converge in an action-packed, rib-tickling climax before the various plots resolve themselves.'

Panchamiya spoke about working with veteran actor and villain Grover, who plays Pinky Bhaiyya in the film. “He may be the fabled ‘Bad Man’ of Hindi cinema but is truly a wonderful human being!” he said. “The sweetest and kindest in the business, and a fabulous actor, like no other."

Grover said it was a wonderful experience to work with younger actors and those who have been around for a long time. "We had a great time improvising on the sets," he said. "This film blends the heist genre with comedy with so much success. We all need a little extra joy in these times and, hopefully, this film will give just that to the audiences,

"Pinky Bhaiyya is one of the most lovable villains I have played,” he added.
