In the trailer of the upcoming Hoichoi original series Boyfriends & Girlfriends, three childhood friends get a major reality check as they step into adult life.
As Ujaan (Riddhi Sen), Soumya (Rwitobroto Mukherjee) and Bunty (Ujan Chatterjee) dream of travelling to Spain à la Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), but life happens to them. In a reflective moment, towards the end of the trailer, a wise Bunty laughs at the trio's naivety.
Written by Mainak Bhaumik, the film sees Ujaan settling down with his roommate Amrita (Ishaa Saha). However, as he starts to focus on his singing career, complications involving his friends and his ex-girlfriend Riya (Madhurima Ghosh) begin to take a toll.
Soumya courts trouble when he gets involved with Riya while being in a relationship with Sreya (Adrija Roy), the daughter of his father’s business partner, who is focused on complying with her parents' strategy of turning marriage into a business deal.
Directed by Suvankar Paul, Boyfriends & Girlfriends, promises interesting content that young audiences will relate to. The series will also appeal to those who, like Bunty, laugh at their own lack of wisdom with regard to some of their decisions.
Boyfriends & Girlfriends will be streamed on Hoichoi from 9 September.
