The makers of Prabhas’s upcoming magnum opus Radhe Shyam on Monday unveiled a new poster on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. The poster confirmed that the film will hit the screens worldwide on 14 January 2022.

Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the multi-lingual love story is set in Europe in the 1970s. Shot extensively in Italy, Georgia and Hyderabad, Radhe Shyam boasts state-of-the-art visual effects and will see Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in never-seen-before avatars.

Talking about the film’s release, Radha Kumar said in a statement, "We have worked very hard and left no stone unturned in ensuring that we bring audiences a theatrical experience they won't forget. Radhe Shyam comes to theatres on 14 January 2022, and we are so excited to present the poster of the film on a special day like Janmashtami."

The project went on the floors in January 2020. Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the team successfully wrapped up the Georgian schedule last March and returned to India safely.

“One more schedule done!! I thank the Georgian team for helping us finish a kick-ass schedule!! Lovely people you are,” the filmmaker had tweeted.

A special set was erected in Annapurna Studio, Hyderabad where the film’s final schedule was recently completed.

Prabhas, as planned, had wrapped up this project to commence work on his upcoming multilingual science-fiction film with director Nag Ashwin. Deepika Padukone will make her Telugu debut in the project, which will be bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Films.

Prabhas also has two more projects in the pipeline — Salaar with director Prashanth Neel and the Hindi film Adipurush, which is being helmed by Om Raut.
