Actor Chiranjeevi on Sunday had a memorable evening when he dined with legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, who happens to be a friend of the actor's, at Hyderabad’s Falaknuma Palace.

The veteran artiste, who was joined by his wife Surekha, said the meeting rekindled old memories.

Chiranjeevi took to Twitter to post some pictures and wrote on Sunday: “Wonderful meeting my old friend Kapil Dev after a long time. The exquisite Falaknuma Palace setting made it even more special. Travelled back in time at multiple levels a fondly recalled old memories. He is very much the Haryana Hurricane who won us our First World Cup.”

On the career front, Chiranjeevi currently awaits the release of filmmaker Koratala Siva’s Acharya, in which he’s rumoured to play dual roles. The film also stars Ram Charan.

Acharya, as per reports, is about a middle-aged Maoist-turned-social reformer who takes on corrupt bureaucrats who are responsible for the misappropriation and embezzlement of temple funds and donations.

Chiranjeevi is currently shooting for the Telugu film Godfather, a remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer. If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, the film might see Salman Khan make a cameo.

The actor has two more projects in the offing. Last week, it was announced that he will star in the Telugu remake of the Tamil film Vedalam. The project has been titled Bhola Shankar, and it stars Keerthy Suresh as his sister.

The performer also has a yet-untitled Telugu project with director Bobby in the pipeline.
