Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar and filmmaker Aanand L Rai have completed the Mumbai schedule of their upcoming movie Raksha Bandhan.

The makers had erected a set that resembles Delhi's popular Chandni Chowk locality.

Akshay Kumar, who hails from Chandni Chowk, got nostalgic on seeing the set and praised production designer Sumit Basu for his work.

“I’m already missing walking down these streets of Chandni Chowk," the actor said on Twitter. "Even though it was a make-believe set, you made it look so real. Take a bow, Sumit Basu."

Praising co-star Pednekar, Akshay Kumar thanked her for "providing the right balance with your splendid talent".

About the director, the star added in another tweet, “And Aanand L Rai sir, what can I say about you, besides that you’re a wizard and today as we wrap up the Mumbai schedule of Raksha Bandhan, I know I’m leaving the set a better actor.”

The actor had announced the film exactly a year ago on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and dedicated it to his sister Alka. The film is also being produced by Rai under his Colour Yellow Productions banner.

This is the first time Rai and Akshay Kumar have come together for a film. Raksha Bandhan is written by Himanshu Sharma, who has been a favourite of Rai all these years.
