The Independence Day fervour is starting to show in the new trailer for Abhishek Dudhaiya's directorial venture Bhuj: The Pride Of India.

Cut sharper, with more focus on the scale and importance of the battle, the new trailer is better spread out than the first.

Starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Ammy Virk, Sharad Kelkar, Sanjay Dutt, Pranitha Subhash and Nora Fatehi, the film is set to be released on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform on 13 August, just ahead of Independence Day.

The trailer begins with a voice-over of a Pakistani general signalling an attack on the runway at Bhuj to pave the way for the invasion of Delhi. The attack is sudden and takes the Indian forces by surprise. But soon, a counter is launched by a courageous group of people. While the air force and the army lead the counter, a number of civilians also join in.

The new trailer is an improvement on the first one and tones down on the jingoism, besides paying attention to the multiple players in the story. From Devgn's Lieutenant Vijay Karnik to Virk and Kelkar down to Dutt's knife-wielding nomad and Sinha's leader, it captures an intense moment from everyone. Most of the action shots look palatable, with the exception of a few air battles which are unable to hide the VFX work.

However, the trailer does have a very 1990s vibe with its euphoric war cries and punchlines that land with the heaviness of two decades ago. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch Bhuj: The Pride Of India.
